A flat yard here is the exception. If yours slopes, text a photo of the back of the house to (689) 225-1200 and we will tell you what the grade is likely to mean.
Local notes for pools in Clermont
Lake County, not Orange County
Clermont is in Lake County, and many addresses are inside the City of Clermont, while others sit in unincorporated Lake County or the growing South Lake area. Permit offices and review steps differ. We confirm which one covers your address at the estimate, tell you if your job needs a permit and list it in the proposal. If you moved from Orlando, do not assume the same process. Our guide to pool permits and process gives the general sequence.
Slopes, retaining walls and drainage
Rolling terrain means the pool deck is often cut into a hill or built up with fill. That can call for retaining walls, terraced decks and careful runoff plans so water does not wash into a neighbor or undermine the deck. A sloped lot can also give you a spa that spills into the pool, or a view that a flat lot never gives. We assess the grade at the estimate. Anything unexpected underground is explained before we continue.
Sinkhole-prone ground
Lake County sits on limestone, and parts of it are karst, where sinkholes can form. That does not mean you cannot build. It means we pay attention to the site, to any history of settling, and to what an engineer or geotechnical report might recommend. If a report is required, it is paid when ordered and is explained at the estimate. A leak can worsen soil problems, so pool leak detection matters for older pools here.
Communities, lakes and wildlife corridors
Many South Lake neighborhoods have HOAs with architectural review, and some lots back onto lakes or conservation land with extra setbacks. The HOA application is yours, and we supply the drawings, specs and finish samples. If you want a new pool, see new pool construction. If you own an older one, pool repair and renovation are good places to start.
